Genuine Responsibility

Fairness as the Foundation of Our Operations

At Nordic Wear, we believe that quality and responsibility are the cornerstones of Finnish workwear and the foundation of everything we do—from the country of manufacture to the customer. At the heart of our operations are fairness, high quality, and long-term development. We are committed to international standards for working conditions and environmental protection, such as BSCI certification and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Following these principles, we ensure that our products are safe, ethical, and responsibly made, from sourcing materials to delivering the final product.

We carefully select our partners and factories, ensuring they share our values of responsibility, safety, and respect for workers’ rights. We closely monitor production conditions and make certain that every employee works in humane and fair circumstances. Our deep familiarity with the local culture makes this easier for us than for many Western companies.

Nordic Wear is Bangladeshi-Finnish owned, and our CEO spends a significant part of the year on the factory floor in Bangladesh, literally with hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations. Generations of local knowledge and a passion for improving both working conditions and quality in Bangladesh have positioned us as one of the first companies in the country to manufacture highly demanding workwear. Together with the local team, our CEO has worked for over two decades on material development projects, creating new expertise and high-quality capabilities. Moving away from fast fashion was a bold step, but one grounded in our values—and it has proven both principled and profitable.

Quality comes not only from materials and technical expertise but also from genuine respect for the people who make the products. We believe that a well-made garment should withstand use, time, and scrutiny, and that the process of making it should withstand examination as well. This principle is one we aim to carry through to every customer we serve.

Nordic Wear is a Finnish company offering high-quality workwear and specialized clothing for demanding conditions, including defense and hunting apparel.
We specialize in premium workwear and garments for challenging environments, providing clothing for defense, hunting, and industrial needs. In addition, we have expanded our range to include mobility aids such as wheelchairs and walkers, particularly for healthcare use.

Finnish Design and Responsible Production
All our products are designed in Finland, at our Turku office, where quality control also takes place. Our production relies on trusted long-term partners whose factories meet international responsibility standards, such as BSCI certification. Oversight of our production chain ensures high-quality materials, ethical working conditions, and environmentally responsible practices, all reflected in the final product.

Technical Expertise and Flexibility
We began as a manufacturer of casual and sportswear, which gave us a strong foundation for moving into technical workwear. This background is evident in the flexibility and comfort of our products, which are designed to meet the demands of challenging work environments. Our clothing is crafted to provide optimal freedom of movement and durability in all conditions.

Flexible Service for Businesses and Organizations
We offer our customers a wide selection of technical clothing and the option for customized solutions. Depending on the client’s needs, we can adapt our collections or design fully bespoke products. Our services scale to both small and large orders, and we deliver all products according to the agreed schedule.

Preparedness for Exceptional Situations

We proactively safeguard both our employees and their families during crises. For example, during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were one of the few companies in Dhaka whose operations continued uninterrupted. When movement in the city was nearly impossible, we offered employees on-site accommodations, provided protective equipment, and conducted training on its proper use and virus prevention. Ensuring that every employee feels safe and protected at work is a top priority.

Sustainability and Quality

We manufacture durable, long-lasting textiles. Over time, we have transitioned exclusively to high-quality technical products. Our items are made for real needs: workwear for hospitals, ambulances, technical industries, construction sites, and national defense. Additionally, we produce high-quality outdoor and expedition garments designed for demanding conditions, following the same rigorous production standards as our professional workwear. We are gradually phasing out fast-fashion and leisure clothing production.
Our goal is to reduce environmental impact, improve energy efficiency, and minimize waste. Management ensures that employees understand how to act responsibly regarding environmental practices and motivates them to take ownership of sustainability in their daily work. Our strength lies in deep local cultural understanding, meaning guidance for factories is practical, culturally aware, and implemented collaboratively rather than imposed externally.
